Red Tape
May peace be on you, Reader. Welcome to the Muslim Ninja blog.
You can call me Ninja.
Yes, I know. It's been a really long time since I've posted. I've been on vacation!
We wanted to escape our obligations for a while.
But here is a brand new poem! It is about Palestine, may Allah free them in our lifetimes.
Say Ameen! And comment it too!
This poem should have been the first one on our blog, but it takes a while to create a thoughtful and powerful poem.
It is a bit different from my usual lighthearted style, but that's because this is serious topic.
SO without further ado, I present 'Red Tape'.
Red Tape
Open, clean, inviting buildings
Calling one and all
Yet crisscrossing rows of red tape
Cover the imposing wall
Powers smile, laugh, chat
Shaking hands aplenty
Yet mouths are shut with red tape
When innocents cry and plea
Cameras focus, point, click,
Sharing news on the ground
Yet the lens are covered with red tape
When lies try to sneak around
Furious faces, chants, cries
Calling a ceasefire
Yet their pockets are filled with red tape
When the situation is dire
A child runs from the bombs and graves
Trying to make sense
They stop and see the red tape
That lines the open fence.
Let us refresh, restart, rewind
See the murder, gore, and rape
Let us clear our eyes and tongue and mind
And hearts from the red tape.
We're living in troubling times now. It's important that we see past what others want us to see and search for the truth - about Palestine, and about ourselves.
Share this poem. Donate to the multiple organizations that are helping our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and make lots of dua. During these first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, the most precious days of the year, make dua for our oppressed Muslims and non-muslims all over the world. Let's increase our worship, Inshallah.
I'm planning to finish the whole Qur'an by reading 3 Juz a day.
Let us hope that their Eid will be brighter and more peaceful than ours. Spread the word out there. Happy Eid Ul-Adha, Readers! Assalamu alaikum.
Assalamu alaikum, Reader.
PostScript
Yeah, Pakistan has been GREAT so far. The animals are being bought and sold for sacrificing, everyone is increasing worship for the last 10 days of Dhul Hijjah, and it's great meeting family again.
We're still pretty busy, so we'll try to upload often. I'm also planning on making Eid Ul-Adha cards.
We're actaully packing to go to another house tonight, so Im gonna cut this short. Readers, comment down ways to help Palestine, and ideas of increased worship during these first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah.
It's actually the fourth day of Dhul Hijjah already.
Readers, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! Get your sunnahs in, do adhkaar, and be kind to everyone!
Yeah, she may have had a little too much sugar. Salam! And comment and follow us.
That was a really bad outro.
Hey! Be nice. You don't give me a lot to work with, anyway.
Thanks, I try! >:)
